At the time of writing this message the trailer of GTA VI has already been played more than 103 million times on YouTube. Every second of the footage is analyzed in depth by both the media and the viewers.
It turns out that the scenes presented in the video do not come from the imagination of Rockstar Games - they are often a reference to real events. We decided to check what situations inspired the video.
Alligator goes shopping
One of the trailer fragments shows us an alligator that apparently decided to visit a random store in Vice City. The action actually took place a dozen years ago in Florida, when the huge reptile visited a Walmart.
An uninvited guest in a backyard swimming pool
Florida is one of the US states where an alligator can be encountered at almost every turn. The owners of one of the backyard swimming pools, which has become a place of bathing of one of these reptiles, learned that first hand. The encounter with the specialized animal catcher was documented on Rockstar's trailer.
Twerking on the roof of a car
Watching the trailer of GTA VI, you certainly noticed the scene in which a woman twerking on the roof of a moving car. And although it looks very dangerous, this type of behavior could also be seen in other Florida residents.
It turns out that the scantily clad Vice City resident watering the lawn also has a counterpart in reality. Some time ago, the American media saw videos in which one Florida resident decided to take care of his home garden, and in the process show off some of his body parts to the neighbors.
Since we're on the topic of nudity, one can't miss the part of the trailer showing a man running from a law enforcement officer in just his underwear. Although it seems bizarre, such situations also occur in Florida. Proof of this is a certain gentleman who, at one time decided to test the physical prowess of the local police, in naked, of course.
Rockstar Games graced us with a scene in which one of the residents of Vice City with an angry look and two hammers in her hands approaches the person shooting the video. As you can easily guess, almost identical footage can be found online, recorded - guess what - in Florida. If you plan to go there on vacation, you definitely need to watch out.
The GTA VI trailer also had a reference to the events in 2018, when police in Florida arrested a man with his face covered with tattoos imitating Batman's famous adversary, the Joker. The fanatic of the comic book prince of crime was arrested for pointing a gun at people.
Mud baths are another element transferred from the not necessarily gray reality of Florida residents.
