Disney's Steam Hit Gets Release Date, but Not as F2P Game

The popular Disney game Dreamlight Valley will leave early access this December, but, contrary to the original plans, it will not be free. The developers have announced why they changed their decision and reveal the available editions of their work.

Disney Dreamlight Valley recorded an excellent start in early access, and this despite a relatively unusual sales model. Currently, you have to pay less than $25 for the game (it is also available in Game Pass), although after the official release it was supposed to switch to F2P model. However, this is not going to happen.

According to the official announcement on the game's website, Disney Dreamlight Valley will leave early access on December 5, but will remain a premium title. The A Rift in Time expansion will debut at the same time.

The developers have decided to change the sales model in order to be able to "provide the players with entertainment of the highest quality." In particular, we are talking about updates with free characters, worlds and other elements native to Disney.

The game will be available in two digital versions: Standard and Gold that also includes the A Rift in Time DLC. Fans of physical copies may be tempted to buy the Cozy Edition, which will hit store shelves on November 10.
